Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 30, near Speculator in Hamilton County
An easy, mile and a half long trail that includes a 850 yard boardwalk that is handicapped accessible.
Found off Route 30 in Speculator, there is a picnic area with grills and a view of the river. Gentle riverside terrain for all ages and a great place for bird watching. Pathway is wetland boardwalk that traverses a variety of habitats and three types of wetlands, with historical exhibits on logging, geology, and other topics. A meditation walk is provided for a quiet place to enjoy the serenity of the woods. There are no trash cans or facilities, so please use a Carry in, Carry out policy. Rest areas are provided at the Fire Hall, and the Pavilion, at the intersection of Routes 8 and 30.
