Old Forge Pond
Central Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 28, near Old Forge in Herkimer County
The Fulton Chain of Lakes begins at Old Forge pond, the body of water where the Old Forge beach and tennis courts are located.
Downtown Old Forge is reflected in the waters of Old Forge Pond that it partially encircles. Covering about 30 acres, Old Forge Pond averages 5 feet deep and has a maximum depth of 9 feet. A one-half mile long channel averaging 3 feet deep connects it to First Lake.
