Mt Arab Trail and Fire Tower
Olympic Byway, State Rt. 3, near Tupper Lake in Franklin County
The trailhead to Mt. Arab is 3 miles west of the Village of Tupper Lake on the Conifer Road off of NYS Route 3.
The steel tower on the summit of Mt. Arab was erected in 1918. A moderately difficult 1-mile trail leading to the summit and the area tower itself were renovated in 1999. Views of the surrounding Northwest Foothills of the Adirondacks are unparalleled. An interpreter is stationed on the summit during summer months to answer questions.
