Olympic Byway, State Rt. 3, near Saranac Lake in Franklin County
The Lower Saranac Lake boat launch is located 3 miles southwest of the Village of Saranac Lake on Route 3.
The boat launch on Lower Saranac Lake is a hard surface launch with enough parking for 75 cars and trailors. Boat access-only campsites can be reserved on Lower Saranac Lake and a DEC campground office is located at this site. This resource is in Section 1 of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, a 740-mile water route extending from Old Forge in the Adirondack Park to Fort Kent, Maine.
