Carthage Train Depot
Olympic Byway, County Rt. 3, near Carthage in Jefferson County
Located in the Spring Street neighborhood, just north of State Street, Route 3, east of the river, north of the bridge.
Once a stop on the Carthage and Adirondack Railway, the Carthage and Copenhagen Rail Road, and the Carthage, Watertown and Sackets Harbor Railroad, Depot eventually became a station on the New York Central Line. With the decline of rail travel, the station closed.
