Lake Durant Historical Logging Marker, 34 Flow

Central Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 28 and State Rt. 30, near Blue Mountain Lake in Hamilton County

Historical marker describing why it's called Lake Durant.

34 Flow originally used for lumbering operations in that whole area. Softwood logs were piled on 34 flow, then they'd trip the dam and everything would head down the river.
